Community Code of Conduct
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
Welcome to the Takshak Community Hub! Our goal is to maintain a productive, highly technical, and supportive environment for machinists, CNC operators, engineers, and creators. By participating in these forums, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct.
1. Professional & Technical Collaboration
- Respect Your Peers: Treat all community members with professional respect. Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or derogatory remarks.
- Stay On Topic: Keep discussions focused on CAM toolpaths, CNC machining workflows, post-processors, machine compatibility, and software optimization.
- Criticism is Welcome: Say plainly when you think a toolpath, post-processor or approach is wrong — that is what the forum is for. Aim it at the work, not the person.
2. Protect Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
- Public Forum Notice: All forum threads, comments, validations, and attached files are publicly visible, search-indexed, and readable without an account.
- Redaction is Yours: Before posting screenshots, images, logs or configuration files, verify that you are not disclosing confidential client CAD geometries, proprietary tooling secrets, personal data, or material protected under third-party Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). We do not inspect your uploads for confidential content, and nothing is redacted on your behalf. One thing does happen automatically: attached images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF) are re-encoded to WebP and resized to fit within 2560 pixels, which discards the embedded camera metadata — including any GPS coordinates — that phones and cameras write into image files. We keep the converted image rather than your original. That is a storage and privacy measure applied to every image without exception; it is not a review of what the image shows. Text, G-code, CAD and archive files are stored exactly as you send them. What is visible in a file is what the public sees.
- Private Technical Support: If your troubleshooting requires sharing proprietary CAD files or detailed diagnostic logs, do not post them publicly. Use the in-app tool (
Help -> Export Diagnostic Logs) and email the ZIP archive privately tosupport@takshakcam.com.
3. “As-Is” Peer Assistance & Machining Safety
- Verify Before You Cut: Advice, G-code snippets, macro scripts, speeds/feeds guidance, or custom post-processors shared by community members or staff are provided strictly “AS-IS” without warranties of any kind.
- Mandatory Dry-Runs: Takshiq Soft Labs LLP and community members disclaim all liability for ruined workpiece stock, broken endmills, spindle collisions, machine crashes, or workshop injuries. You assume sole responsibility for simulating and dry-running all configurations on your physical CNC equipment before cutting material.
4. Attachments & Contribution Guidelines
- Permitted Technical Uploads: File attachments must directly serve technical troubleshooting or community contributions (such as G-code snippets, log files, configuration text, post-processors, machine definitions, or screenshots). Uploads are capped at 10 MB per file and a maximum of 4 files per post.
- External Video Hosting: To keep forum response times fast and conserve resources, direct video uploads are disabled. Please link or embed clips hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, or similar video platforms.
- No Malicious or Infringing Content: Never upload unverified executable binaries (.exe, .dll), key generators, obfuscated scripts, or copyrighted CAM assets belonging to third parties.
5. Anti-Spam & Moderation Enforcement
- Zero Tolerance for Abuse: Do not post unsolicited commercial advertising, referral spam, repetitive promotional links, or deploy automated bots.
- Enforcement: Enforcement is graduated in the ordinary case and immediate for automated abuse. Violations may result in content removal, temporary account suspension, or permanent account termination from
hub.takshakcam.com. Account moderation on this community portal does not affect your perpetual desktop software license.
